The fibre laser source is the component that generates the beam in laser cutting and welding machines. It connects to the cutting or welding head, or to a galvanometer scanner. We supply MAX and Raycus sources, as a spare part or for more power on your machine.
Fibre laser sources for cutting and welding machines, made by MAX and Raycus. These are the two source brands we supply.
How it is integrated
The source connects to the machine's cutting or welding head, or to a galvanometer scanner for marking and engraving. It can also be mounted on robots or machine tools, for fine cutting and precision welding.
When to replace the source
A laser source is usually replaced in two situations: when it fails or reaches the end of its service life, or when you want more power than is currently installed, provided the rest of the machine allows it.
In both cases, the new source is checked against your machine before ordering; nothing is left to guesswork.
Why buy through a dealer
The source is shipped to you only after we have confirmed that it is compatible with your machine.
The sources are genuine and come from stock. They are fitted and commissioned by our own technicians, who also handle servicing afterwards in Romania.
FAQ
Questions about the Fibre laser sources
Which laser source is right for me: MAX or Raycus?
The choice between a MAX and a Raycus laser source depends on the machine it will be fitted to. To recommend the right option, we need two pieces of information: the machine model and the power of the source currently installed. With these, we choose the source and confirm compatibility before quoting.
What do you check before recommending a laser source?
We check the fibre connector, the power and the cooling. The connector on the source must match the one on the cutting or welding head, and its power cannot exceed what the head can handle. The cooling is checked against the requirements of the source. If anything does not match, we tell you before quoting.
Can I fit the laser source myself, or do you fit it?
It is possible, but we recommend having the laser source fitted by our own technicians, and commissioning is included in the installation. This matters most when moving to a higher power: besides the connector and the power rating of the head, we also check that the rest of the machine can handle the new source.
