S Series— Laser sheet cutter, the economical version
The S Series is an economical laser sheet cutting machine for fabricators with small batches and varied work. The initial investment is low, and so are energy consumption and maintenance costs. It comes in 4 models (3015S, 4020S, 6025S, 12025S), with cutting areas from 3,000×1,500 to 12,000×2,500 mm, 1–60 kW of power, a positioning speed of 132 m/min and 1.5 G acceleration.
Cutting areas from 3,000×1,500 up to 12,000×2,500 mm and thicknesses up to 100 mm: the same machine cuts both thin sheet for light sheet-metal work and thick plate for structural steelwork.
02
Low operating cost
The initial investment is low, the machine takes up little floor space, uses little energy and is inexpensive to maintain, with no loss of cutting speed. That matters to any fabricator who works out the cost per part.
03
More parts per shift
1.5 G acceleration, a positioning speed of 132 m/min and modern CNC control move the head quickly from one contour to the next, with no time lost between cuts.
04
Easy to operate
A clear interface, a high degree of automation, real-time monitoring and automatic adjustment. Operators learn the controls quickly, without lengthy training.
05
Easy to maintain
The design is modular and simple, with few components that can fail, so faults are found quickly, without major dismantling. 2-year warranty, with service and parts in Romania.
Key capabilities
The S Series difference
Components from established brands
HIWIN linear guides, a YYC rack-and-pinion drive and Schneider electrical components (France): the configuration specified by the manufacturer, chosen so the machine runs accurately and reliably for years.
Remote monitoring
Operating status and faults can be tracked remotely, so service response is faster, unplanned stoppages become rarer and the machine lasts longer.
Efficient cutting
1.5 G acceleration and a 132 m/min positioning speed, plus high-speed cutting, flying cuts and micro-joints that hold the part in the sheet until the end. The time spent on each sheet drops noticeably.
Technology
Inside the S Series
01 / 03
Solid welded frame
The frame is welded from thick-walled steel tube: it keeps its geometry, so cuts stay just as accurate after years of work.
02 / 03
Aerospace-grade aluminium crossbeam
The crossbeam is extruded in one piece: it does not deform, has good toughness, is light and resists corrosion. This lets it work at high accelerations, and processing runs faster.
03 / 03
Work table with thick slats
The slats are thick and have a high melting point: they support the sheet well, do not burn through quickly and last a long time, so they rarely need replacing.
In operation
Easy to commission
Scratch-free sheets, contained sparks
Ball transfer units run all the way round the table, so the sheet slides over the edge without its surface being scratched. The protective cover also has a segmented, overlapping-plate guard that moves with the head and stops sparks.
Everyday controls are in plain view, and the machine makes its own adjustments and monitors its status during operation, so a new operator gets up to speed quickly.
When orders are small and never the same, one machine has to cut both light sheet-metal parts and structural plate. The S Series covers both, with thicknesses up to 100 mm and four formats, from 3,000×1,500 up to 12,000×2,500 mm.
For long production runs, the D Series changes tables in 15 seconds and keeps production flowing without stops. The S Series remains the choice where a low initial investment matters more than uninterrupted flow.
FAQ
Questions about the S Series
How heavy a sheet can the S Series table take?
The maximum table load of the S Series increases with the format: 0.9 t on the 3015S (3,000×1,500 mm), 1.6 t on the 4020S (4,000×2,000 mm), 4.8 t on the 6025S (6,000×2,500 mm) and 16 t on the 12025S (12,000×2,500 mm). These are the values from the manufacturer's official table.
What laser power does the S Series have?
All four S Series models (3015S, 4020S, 6025S and 12025S) work with a 1–60 kW laser source, with the same range across the line-up. The right power is chosen according to the material, the sheet thickness and the monthly production volume. It also determines the maximum thickness, which goes up to 100 mm depending on the material.
What is the difference between the S Series and the D Series?
The S Series has a single work table and costs less, so it suits fabricators with small batches and varied work. The D Series works with two shuttle tables that swap over: while the machine cuts on one, the other is unloaded and reloaded, and the change takes 15 seconds. The D Series is the option for continuous, high-volume production.
What materials and thicknesses does the S Series cut?
The S Series cuts mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium alloys, brass and copper, practically any metal sheet. Thickness goes up to 100 mm, depending on the material and on the source power, chosen between 1 and 60 kW. The list of materials is the same on all four models, from the 3015S to the 12025S, and comes from the manufacturer's official table.
How much floor space does the S Series need?
The S Series footprint (length × width × height) increases with the format: 4,700×2,950×1,900 mm on the 3015S, 5,700×3,500×1,900 mm on the 4020S, 8,400×4,400×2,250 mm on the 6025S and 14,000×4,400×2,250 mm on the 12025S. Allow additional space for loading and unloading the sheet. The design is compact, intended to take up little floor space.
What models and cutting areas does the S Series offer?
There are four S Series models: 3015S (3,000×1,500 mm), 4020S (4,000×2,000 mm), 6025S (6,000×2,500 mm) and 12025S (12,000×2,500 mm). All four run at a positioning speed of 132 m/min with 1.5 G acceleration. Only the cutting area, the maximum table load (0.9–16 t) and the machine dimensions differ.
